BELLINGHAM, MA – (May 9, 2018):
Tony Khoury, President of Khoury Industries, a worldwide leader in thermal test equipment for device characterization, thermal cycling and failure analysis, hosted a two-night extravaganza to raise money to support local cancer patients at the Dana Farber Cancer Center at Milford Regional Medical Center. Tony Khoury spearheaded this event three years ago, and it has become a staple for the hospitals fundraising efforts.
“I do it because cancer does not know and does not care who you are,” said Khoury. “Cancer touches all of our lives, and I didn’t want anyone to have to face that alone. Khoury Industries has been successful, and we wanted to give back to the community that helped make us successful.”
Saturday Night Live in Bellingham, MA hosted an Irish Wake, complete with interactive actors that entertained and danced the night away with the 400+ guests that attended over a two-night period. Last year, more than $20,000 was raised for the Oliva Fund for Cancer Care at Milford Regional Medical Center, and Khoury has hopes of far surpassing that this year. The actual funds raised will not be announced until later this year when they present the Oliva Fund with a check at the MyFM Radiothon.
The Oliva Fund for Cancer Care aims to help cancer patients by purchasing reflexology treatments, wigs and gift cards for patients going through chemotherapy as well as snacks and magazines to be utilized during treatments.
